Elegy of Madness land for the first time in Uk, continuing their promotional tour to promote their last work titled “New Era”.
Landed at Stansted airport, they meet their driver, Paul, wonderful person and great guide for the whole trip. He drives around Uk to bring EoM to the“The Unicorn” (Camden Town – London), “Barge and the Barrel” (Tipton) and to the “Quinphonic Festival” (Birmingham).
After a well-deserved rest for the band and for their audio engineer, on the 5th October they enjoy Camden Town. In the evening, everything is ready for the performance: the band takes the stage, the lights go down, Apokalypsis’ intro begins with its electronic and distorted atmosphere: now a Symphonic Metal storm could start!
The concert starts and every “New Era” song have been played mixing power, melodies and chorus that seem embrace the public in a really suggestive mood.
Day Zero ends the live show, following the presentation of each member of the band and the ritual bow.
“The Unicorn” public appreciated a lot this kind of music and showed a great interest. They take some photos in the merchanising corner, sign some autographs and go back to the hotel with a wonderful energy for the next stage.
They leave towads Tipton, a nice city with a breathtaking landscape. EoM are at “The Barge and Barrel” now, a typical english pub linked to the symbolic figure of the owner: an otherwise young lady with a young and rebel spirit.
The other band with whom EoM share the stage, had a powerful singer that reminds us the english Bruce Dickinson. Then, it’s time to play for Elegy of Madness: they shake up the pub, in a really small stage.
The atmosphere is so hot while playing songs like Lunacy and Memories River with a singing public in the last chorus of the ballad.
Divine Obsession ends the second show of the tour together with an intimate but warm ambient.
The adrenalin of the stage hands off to the after concert happiness, knowing people, taking photographs and drinking beer.
The owner says goodbye to the crew, thanks the band and give them a traditional home made food. They come back to the apartment for the last stage of the tour: Birmingham.
Morning arrived early and the band has a rich english breakfast before leaving. It’s very cold and sometimes it’s drizzling but inside the van there’s a great energy.
After a quick lunch on the way to Birmingham, the band arrives to the “Tower of London” for the seventh edition of the Quindphonic Festival where the stage is almost ready. The EoM performance starts in the evening, after several great female fronted bands.
The stage is hot, people are really close to the band and the scenic smoke follows Apokalypsis notes.
The concert begins and ends with a special public that gives all night energies to the band. Day Zero concludes, as always, the third live show in Uk. Elegy of Madness won’t never forget people, emotions and energies and all the memories belonging to this experience.
The last day off in Uk is dedicated to London and its monuments, streets and shops. It’s time to go now but Elegy of Madness will come back in Uk for sure! Maybe in 2019.
Saying goodbye to Paul, friend and driver, the band takes the last photo and ends this short but important tour.
Goodbye London.. See you soon!
